On August 27, 2005 two new additions arrived at Royal Oak Farm Orchard!  Crispin and McIntosh, better known as Chris and Mac, are two year old Huacayas (pronounced wa-KAI-ya) alpacas.
Cris (on the left) and Mac (on the right) are waiting in their new paddock next to the "Royal Oak Express" train for your visit.  They will be available to feed and pet each day the orchard is open.
In April of 2005 we purchased a 30' Wattman trackless train with authentic looking train designs.  Delivered in April, the train will be used in our Entertainment area each day, as well as in local community events throughout the year!
In July of 2006, we added a gezebo around our 1997 High Lite Carousel for our Entertainment Area. It is a 14 horse ride for kids and adults in excellent condition with beautifully detailed horses, scenery and solid oak flooring.
Tee Pee
Raspberries
In 2001 we built a 30' diameter Teepee with authentic looking Indian designs.  School children in particular love meeting in the Teepee before taking their orchard tour.
In the spring of 2005 we added over 3,000 new summer and early fall raspberry plants and expanded our total acreage of raspberrys. We will now have raspberries to pick from July through September.
In 2004 we moved our porch sales area to our new "Apple Barn".  The Apple Barn is located where the patio was and has an "open air market" feel.  It houses all of our pre-picked apple varieties as well as a popcorn machine and our famous cider "slushee" machine. In 2007, we are adding fresh mirai sweet corn from Audust through September.
In the spring of 2007 we added more apple trees for a total of 600 new apple trees. That brings our total to over 11,000 apple trees! The new varieties included Early Auvil Fuj.  We also added additional peach trees representing a new variety of white peaches.  In the spring we also removed some older peach trees, bringing our total to over 1,000.
